Today, farmers are multioptional entrepreneurs, demanding far more skills than only those of agricultural production. The awareness European landscape (EAL) values should enable to create new business strategies. Open education repositories (OERs) based on online vocational and training (VET) still not widespread. project FEAL (multifunctional farming for the sustainability EALs) has brought interactive material results two questionnaire surveys performed in Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain. A survey 31 experts confirmed that VET activities very much needed farmers. 28 had different aims content. Old-fashioned or Trendy?

Spectroscopic analyses with the intention of the interpretation of the UV-spectra of the brightest stars as individuals – supernovae – or as components of starforming regions – massive O stars – provide a powerful tool with great astrophysical potential for the determination of extragalactic distances and of the chemical composition of star-forming galaxies even at high redshifts. The perspecti...

Old-fashioned Dualities Revisited

In the lectures given at ’96 Kashikojima Summer Institute, Amagi-Highland Seminars, and Yukawa Institute Workshop, the old-fashioned dualities and the theory of extended objects are reviewed, starting from ’t Hooft-Mandelstam duality and following the author’s old works. Application of the old-fashioned dualities to new issues are also given on the D-branes, on the phase transition of B-F theor...

Old Fashioned Perturbation Theory

We will spend only a short time reviewing old fashioned perturbation theory and exploring its application in quantum field theory. The essentials in QFT are the same as they were in non-relativitstic quantum mechanics, where we split the Hamiltonian into two parts a “free" solvable Hamiltonian, H0 and an interacting part Hint 42 This separation is often troublesome, as symmetries may relate ope...

A Note on an Old-Fashioned Algebra for (Disconnected) Graphs

Graphs with interfaces are a simple and intuitive tool for allowing a graph G to interact with the environment, by equipping it with two morphisms J → G, I → G. These “handles” were used to define graphical operators, and to provide an inductive presentation of graph rewriting. A main feature of graphs with interfaces is their characterization as terms of a free algebra. So far, this was possib...
